Are there any alternatives for the faja or lipo foam/faja combination? (photos)

The compression garment varies with the plastic surgeon.  Ask your PS what he/she recommends.
I do not recommend a garment or faja that is extremely tight. I typically ask patients to use adjustable garments with multiple bands so that tension can be adjusted and the areas of liposuction are less likely to get a fluid collection.  The key here is the size and the ability to tighten the garment, not the brand or make.  In my practice, the compression garments are provided as part of the post op package.

Thank you for your questions and congratulations on your recent surgery.  I typically recommend a smooth spanx or panty girdle to be worn for about 4-6 weeks post op.  You can find them in any department store and some of them even come with straps to help keep them in place and from moving on down.  I would recommend also asking your surgeon for their recommendation and follow their protocol in regards to the compression.  Best of luck to you while you continue to recover.  

I appreciate your concern, however your faja should be snug but certainly not painful or uncomfortable. I would discuss this issue with your plastic surgeon and in the meantime you may consider switching to a different elastic garment like Spanx. Best to check in with your plastic surgeon however. Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and congratulations on your procedure.  In most cases the garments used after any procedure should be snug and not tight.  They are there to limit tissue swelling which increases patient discomfort.  I would talk to your surgeon about either a different garment use, such as Spanx or Marena group, as well as a larger size to improve your recovery comfort.  Hope this helps.

I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns. Compression garments are made with various amounts of compression. You may be better suited for a garment with less compression since you are three weeks into recovery.

In my practice, Marena recovery garments are used. Talk to your plastic surgeon and discuss which garment he/she would like you to be wearing and his/her post-recovery protocol.
