Thefirst thing you should do is check the ASPS website for a list of doctors inyour area. Then look at online reviews. Check the surgeon's website. Look attheir results. Ask around to see if you have any personal references, these canbe very helpful. Once you have screened the doctor, meet with them. If they areprofessional and sincere, educated and experienced, if they listen to yourconcerns and develop a plan which fits with your goals, you have found a goodmatch. The mommy makeover is a combination of a breast operation and a trunkoperation. There is no strict definition of the combination. You could haveeither breast lift or augmentation, tummy tuck or liposuction and it stillcould be considered a mommy makeover. The combinations can range from $12,000to $15,000.
There is always the option to have multiple procedures completed together at one time. The mommy makeover is a combination ofprocedures to bring a woman’s body back to the way she looked prior topregnancy. Most commonly some variation of a #TummyTuck and #BeastSurgery areperformed. Additional procedures can include liposuction, umbilical herniarepair. The most common#breastprocedures include #mastopexy or #breastlift, #breastaugmentation,#breastreduction. From this point I recommend you seek out a local surgeon for a consultation regarding the best options to achieve the results you desire. Good luck!
Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.For safety reasons, to be a good candidate for the procedures you want at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal. Therefore, you must be a healthy person, within an appropriate BMI and no history of diseases that increase the surgical / anesthetic risk degree. Finally, I recommend you a skilled certified plastic surgeon in body contouring surgery and experienced in cases like yours where the planned operating time is less than five hours.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Thank you for your question and photos. I believe it is best to be within 10 - 15 pounds of your ideal body weight prior to surgery for optimal results. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast and body contouring for an in-person examination. Ask to see a lot of before and after pictures of their work to understand what can be achieved. Hope this helps and good luck.
To get your best results, you should ideally be as close to your goal weight as possible and ideally under 30 for your BMI. While surgery is possible at any weight, being overweight or obese increases your risk of postoperative complications such as infection and wound healing problems and thus is not advisable. If you chose to go forward with weight loss, which would be in your best interest, you could consult with your PCP to get suggestions on how to proceed and I would recommend not trying to lose more than 5-10 pounds/month. Crash dieting is rarely if ever effective long-term. Best of luck!
I appreciateyour question.Best to be at a BMI less than 30 or within 10 pounds of your goal weight and stable at that weight for 6 months prior to surgery for optimal results. The best wayto assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see aboard-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorativeplastic surgery.Best of luck!Dr. SchwartzBoardCertified Plastic SurgeonDirector-BeverlyHills Breast and Body Institute#RealSelf100Surgeon
It is best if you have a BMI of 30 or under when considering a Mommy Makeover. At your current weight you have a BMI of 34.3. Those with a BMI above 30 have a higher risk of complications such as infection, poor wound healing, and seroma. Lowering your BMI will also give your surgeon the opportunity to optimize your results. At your height a weight of 175lbs would put you at a BMI of 30.
Ideally, we like our patients to be at a weight that's within 20% of their ideal weight. If the patient is serious about getting onto a weight reduction program and exercising then I work with them on setting a target weight and a target date. If on the other hand, they really don't plan on losing weight, then I let them know that we can improve their appearance but not get the optimal result. Sometimes will do aggressive Lipo suctioning as one stage and then the tummy tuck three months later. Speak with a board certified plastic surgeon about your different treatment options. One of the new options that a general surgeon friend of mine presented to me is the use of a temporary balloon in the stomach that limits how much food intake you have. After 3-6 months and a 20-30 pound weight loss, the balloon is removed and the tummy tuck procedure is performed
Hello good afternoon, it is normal to experience heart burn, or an upset stomach due to antibiotic and medication intake, your intestinal flora is affected while consuming your medication, take omeprazole on an empty stomach and of course your probiotics.
Your surgeon needs to be made aware right away of the reaction you are having before taking another dose. You should also make the provider who is administering the medication aware of the issues you are experiencing.
BMI (Body Mass Index) is one factor when considering if someone is a candidate for a Mommy Makeover. Those with a BMI over 30 are at higher risk of complications such as infection, poor wound healing, and seroma. Based on the information provided your BMI is 33.4. A weight loss of 25 pounds...
