Just had a mommy makeover..bad reaction to antibiotics...urgent answer pls.

Question

I had the surgery 24 hours ago and have been having 8 hour IV antibiotic drops...I feel really really ill...facial flushing body flushing funny skin feelings weakness and dizzy after every IV session....my doctors says I must carry on regardless with one more session.....I feel that if I take this session I will become seriously ill as I feel progressively worse...never yoke rated them ever...what shall I do?

Its not normal to have IV antibiotics.  You should be on oral antibiotics.  If you are getting sick, don't put yourself at risk.  avoid the IV and ask for different oral antibiotics.

After experiencing the poor reaction to antibiotics that you mention the only thing I can recommend to you is that you visit your doctor immediately. If you cannot get into your surgeon, then I would recommend seeing your own physician so that you can make sure that you do in fact gain a more proper prescription. Good luck to you.

It is not possible to diagnosis over the web.  Your surgeon should be made aware of this immediately and if you get no resolution from your surgeon, you should be seen in an Emergency Room, where the proper tests can be done and the proper support given.

Your surgeon needs to be made aware right away of the reaction you are having before taking another dose.  You should also make the provider who is administering the medication aware of the issues you are experiencing.
