I have a very small waist but thick arms. I am 5”5 & weigh 125 lbs. My waist size is very disproportionate to my torso, making my arms look huge. It want always like this but my weight has stayed consistent. Everyone knows exercise doesn’t do much for arm fat so I am looking into getting Lipo. Which type/procedure is the best for this? I live between Miami & Boston. Thank you!

Answer: Micro Liposuction Options beatrizfr. I appreciate your concern however your treatment needs are fairly minimal, as you are obviously in very good shape. Traditional liposuction with very small cannulas, Micro Liposuction, is the best option for you because contouring is needed with minimal fat reduction. You must understand however, that your results will be modest and not dramatic because there is little fat that needs to be removed. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to increase your chances for the best possible result. Good luck.

Answer: Arm liposuction Dear beatrizfr,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
