Hello I recently have gotten a liposuction. I’ve gotten 2 massages but only one side has drained. But the incision has closed on the other side so it’s not draining as much as my left side. The massage therapist at the surgery center stated it will come out each time I take a pee. Do any doctors known this to be true? I feel like I need to go back to have the proper draining

Answer: Liposuction Recovery Alicia. It sounds like you are experiencing normal swelling after liposuction and it will resolve with time, however all of it may not be gone for as long as six months after surgery. The body expels swelling in various ways and some fluid is absorbed and eventually excreted with your urine. Try to stay patient and positive and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.
