I've recently had Restylane under the eyes and Juvaderm in the nasolabial fold/cheeks injected by Dr. Elkins-Williams. It's always interesting talking with him about the pros/cons of the different kinds of fillers, how they work with the anatomy, and what to expect. The results from the Restylane and Juvaderm are so natural and pretty. Everything is soft, even, and I've already received compliments on how refreshed I look. Would definitely recommend Dr. EW to anyone looking to get injectables. He takes the time to work with you, makes great suggestions, and the whole experience feels very personable.
I love getting my Botox and filler done by Dr. Elkins-Williams! The whole practice from check-in to check-out is a great experience, and Dr. EW is great at addressing all concerns, explaining anatomy, setting realistic expectations, and collaborating with you on your goals to create a look that's "you but better." You will leave the office feeling informed, confident in your procedure choice, and most importantly - super cute :)
Dr. Tyler is a genius. He is an exceptional listener with exceptional bedside manners. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence delivers perfect results. My lips are perfect. With God-given naturally full lips, Dr. Tyler was careful not to make me look like a “Lil Kim wannabe”. I wanted just a tiny but more volume and I couldn’t be more happy. Thank you. See you in six months.
"Excellent. He is a Master of Fillers. I am 67 years old. Due to bone loss, fat loss, collagen loss, general aging, etc., my face has hollowed. Dr. Elkins-Williams used fillers to soften the most hollowed areas. I so much appreciate his conservative approach and skillful finesse.
Dr. Elkins-Williams was able to correct a rare adverse event after I received cool sculpt on my lower abdomen. The Adverse event is called paroxysmal adipose hyperplasia- meaning my fat cells actually grew instead of being destroyed. It's a rare occurrence but more recently reported to occur in men...exercise would not touch it. Dr. Elkins-Williams did a fantastic job at using liposuction to remove the additional fat cells in my abdomen. I'm a healthy person who is very active and attentive to healthy eating. It was frustrating that I could not change this appearance with diet and exercise. My abdomen now has the symmetry with the rest of my body. I highly recommend Dr. Elkins-Williams. My experience was wonderful with him and his highly trained and friendly staff.
This doctor told me I am "Great candidate" and now with results wherein there is no change and, in fact I have more wrinkles than before the procedure... DO NOT RECOMMEND... $5400 plus $700 fo lip filler that is uneven. Updated on 8 Nov 2021: My face has a lot of sagging... I'm 58 yrs old and Dr Tyler Eakins convinced me how perfect I was for the procedure . I had not an ounce of fat on my face or neck only sagging skin yet Dr Eakins convinced me this was the procedure for me. Turns out he was very wrong and it cost me $7000, a great deal of money. I was NEVER a perfect candidate, only a lower face lift would have made a change and, he lied to me because he did not do that procedure only facetite. I'm miserable and feel worse than I did before. Updated on 13 Apr 2022: I will be getting a lower lift which is a much more involved surgery from Finn Facial and they are making effort to make this a great experience. I am collagen deplete and this should temporarily assist me in my goal. I will do before and after pics soon. Updated on 17 Jan 2024: Finn facial has been nothing but professional and they stop at nothing for their patients … they have gone above and beyond for me and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Unfortunately I am not a candidate for a face lift Dr Finn is doing 3 treatments of Morpheus 8 with PRP immediately after the procedure to ensure the best result for me
Hi globemom, thanks for your question. Capsular contracture is a tough problem that we Plastic Surgeons have been working on for years. No one knows exactly what causes it, or how to prevent it completely. There is some evidence that shows that use of Singulair can help with capsular contracture, but I'd say "the jury is still out" because the evidence is only so-so. This is why not every surgeon uses it. I have never personally heard of Singulair *worsening* capsular contracture. The main reason some people shy away from it has more to do with the added cost and potential for other (medical) side effects. I'd be sure to talk to your surgeon about his/her rationale, and make the best choice for you. Best of luck in your recovery!
Hi KG2302, thanks for your question. Just adding a larger implant is probably not the way to go to fix your wide-set breasts and improve cleavage. This has more to do with the adjusting the position of the pocket for the implant. This may be able to be changed, but a physical exam would be necessary to tell for sure. Best of luck with your upcoming consultation!
Hi shruti, thanks for your question. As others have mentioned everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry, and that is totally normal. From the photograph you provided, I actually don't see much facial asymmetry outside the norm. However, your best bet is to be seen in person by a Plastic Surgeon for a detailed consultation and physical exam. After this, and a discussion of your specific concerns and treatment goals, they should be able to help come up with a plan to address your needs. Sometimes dermal fillers can be helpful with mild facial asymmetry. Best of luck!
Hi, and thanks for your question. Once fat has been removed via liposuction or direct excision with an abdominoplasty, it is gone permanently. That is because our bodies don't create new fat cells in adulthood. However, the fat that was left behind can hypertrophy (get bigger) with overall weight gain. All of that being said, if you are experiencing a change in your abdominal contour 9 months after surgery, you just first go back and be seen by your surgeon. They need to make sure that everything is healing as expected. A physical exam will go a long way in determining what is going on. Best of luck in your continued recovery.
Hi Sandylee, thanks for your question. In general, if you are planning to have both procedures, you ought to have the BBL first. You wouldn't want to have an abdominoplasty first, because you'd be discarding fat that could otherwise be used in your BBL. I would recommend an in-person consultation with a Plastic Surgeon to assess your suitability for these procedures, and have a more detailed discussion about your goals so that they can create a surgical plan to help you achieve them. Best of luck!
