Will Singulair (medicine for asthma) help to heal swollen breast after lift and augmentation?

I have my breast lift and augmentation 2 1/2 months ago. My left breast is good, but my right breast still hurt me every day. My Doctor check it, and prescribe me Singular (one a day for four months) because he think that my breast still swollen. This really will work or may be something else is bad and need more attention? It is okay that I waiting another four months with pain?

Every surgeon is different I would ask people to wait 24 hours but that has no scientific basis, its just what I do, call your surgeon to clarify

Thank you for your question. Swelling  typically diminishes at the 6 week point. That being said, the swelling may last up to 3 months. Nipple sensitivity can last a few weeks to a few months. Continue to follow your post-op instructions.Best,Dr. Rodgers

I recommend that patients sleep on their back or side after surgery and wear their supportive sports bra or compression bra day and night for the first eight weeks. However, please ask your surgeon for their advice since they may have different advice.
