I typically don't recommend taking ibuprofen until two weeks after breast augmentation because there is a small chance that ibuprofen and other NSAIDS (anti inflammatory medicines like Alleve and Motrin) can cause post operative bleeding around the implant. I would recommend plain tylenol if you no longer require narcotic pain medicines. There are some doctors that utilize ibuprofen after surgery and feel very comfortable with it, I however, am a bit more traditional in this regard. I also have an extremely low rate of any post operative bleeding after breast augmentation. I hope this helps.
Every surgeon is different I would ask people to wait 24 hours but that has no scientific basis, its just what I do, call your surgeon to clarify
