If your only concern is frontal view then alarplasty and tip refinement is satisfactory however raising the bridge of your nose may be a good procedure to consider but I cannot comment on degree of augmentation without seeing profile pictures. With your somewhat thicker skin type and typically weak tip cartilages, improved tip definition is best achieved with addition of one or several layers of cartilage. I do not recommend silastic L shaped implants to improve tip definition. In my opinion this appears artificial and I have seen many patients over the years who require implant removal on account of infection.
Hi laraineiewiur,Based from the photo alone, it can be observed that you have ill-defined-round tip, and slightly flaring alar. Since not enough photos are provided for complete assessment, a proper recommendation cannot be given, but based from what is available, it can be safe to say tipplasty and alarplasty will be needed to achieve your desire of a smaller tip and narrower nose.
