Coolsculpting on multiple areas on consecutive days?

Yes! You can CoolSculpt mutiple areas in one treatment or break up to different days. We often have patients treat multiple areas on the same day! 

It would be fine to treat multiple areas of the body with CoolSculpting on the same day or consecutive days.  If the same area were to be treated, I would recommend waiting a minimum of one month in between sessions.  The full results from one treatment are not seen for 12 weeks, so some patients prefer to wait 12 weeks before deciding on another treatment or not.   

Hello,Thank you for your treatment. CoolSculpting treatments can all be done on the same day. If the provider recommended treating the same area twice it is best to wait 2-3 months before re-treating that area so that you will be able to see the full results and then treat accordingly. You may experience some swelling and soreness. For this reason, you may prefer to space treatments, but that will be completely up to you and your comfort level. Hi. I permit patients to have CS on multiple areas on the same day as there is no minimum period necessary to wait as the body can handle apoptosis of many fat cells at once. Treating on consecutive or alternative days is a matter of preference.  Rarely, I have heard patients experience mild loose stools if they had a lot of fat being eliminated. I do not re-treat the same area until the results are apparent and the need for retreatment has been proven-this is approximately 3 months. You will save some time if your provider uses the advantage applicators with shorter treatment times, larger areas being treated with each applicator and multiple machines.  Best wishes,

The length of your CoolSculpting treatment will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. The latest technology of CoolSculpting can treat a patient in 35-60 minutes, some patients choose to have more than one treatment during the same office visit. We have multiple CoolSculpting systems and applicators, so it’s possible for our patients to have multiple areas treated at once.

We have nine machines in our office, so we regularly do multiple areas in the same day, which could total over 10 cycles. Since we can run 3-4 machines at one time, this expedites the treatments for the patients so we are able to get more done during the visit. We sometimes have patients that will separate the appointments over a few days if necessary or for patient preference. However, we do suggest separating treatment to the exact same area by 4-8 weeks. I recommend finding a providers with several machines and many years of experience with coolsculpting.

As long as you are not treating the same exact area, you may treat multiple parts of your body in 1 day. There will be no adverse effects on your body by doing this. If you plan of treating the same area twice, it is best to wait 6 weeks between treatments.

Yes it is safe to treat multiple areas with Coolsculpting on the same or alternate days.  Some patients come in and spend half of our work day at the office getting multiple treated.  The fat is slowly dissolved so there is no surge in blood lipids.  It is a matter of preference if you want to treat multiple areas on the same day or come back in at a later time for treatment of other sites. It is safe to have more than one area treated. Areas can be overlapped by 50% but you should wait at least a month to treat the same areas. It's up to you to decide how far apart you want to spread the treatments. Some patients prefer to wait the full 3-4 months before considering their next round of treatments. 

Thanks for a great question.  Yes you can do Coolsculpting on different areas of different days.  There a little to no side effects to the destroyed fat cells, but theoretically people could have some loose stools as the fat is excreted.  The Advantage applicators we use allow us to treat more areas faster as well as Dual Sculpting with two machines.  This has really reduced the time in our clinic allowing people to treat many different areas in each treatment session.  We do wait at least one month before retreating an area though.  Good luck!
