The ankles are considered an "off label" area for CoolSculpting. However, if there is sufficient adipose fat, and enough surface area to make full contact with the CoolMini, it can be done. My advice would be to set up a consultation with an experienced CoolSculpting practitioner, where they can assess your ankles and use the CoolMini template to determine whether or not you are a candidate. Best of luck!
If you have excess fat around your ankles that makes your legs look unshapely, Zeltiq offers the CoolMini applicator to sculpt smaller areas. Originally designed to remove the fat from a double chin, the CoolMini is also great at sculpting other small areas, including the knees and ankles. When treating the legs, however, it’s important to remember you may have extra swelling and discomfort because of the great many important veins and nerves that feed the legs and feet. Also, standing can put pressure on your treated areas. So you may want to schedule yourself to have a quiet couple of days after your procedure. It can take up to three sessions to get optimal results. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at using CoolMini to sculpt the legs and ankles.
I have not heard of Coolsculpting being used to reduce fat accumulation around the ankles. I would be a bit cautious of any doctor/clinic offering to do this.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Unfortunately CoolSculpting is not an option for that area as the applicators don’t fit appropriately. Please consult with a local physician to discuss other options. Good luck!
Our patients, typically call this treatment area "cankles" which is the area between the calves and the ankles. The coolsculpting applicator would not fit on this area and it is not FDA approved for this area either. I have done a little soft liposuction in this area for better definition. Make sure to see someone with experience and board certification.
Hi there,No, Coolsculpt is not performed on the ankles. It is not an FDA approved area, nor does Coolsculpt have the proper size applicator for this area. I suggest partnering with a local service provider to determine which other options are out there for you. Good luck.
Coolsculpting is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks body shaping, which the ankles and calves need. For best results improving the ankles, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
CoolSculpting's applicator does not properly fit on the ankle area, and is not FDA approved for treatment of this. In my practice we perform tumescent liposuction for patients who complain of excess fat around the ankle area. This is an excellent procedure that involves minimal downtime, small incisions resulting in minimal scarring, and is performed under local anesthesia. The results are instant, and similar to CoolSculpting, once the fat cells are gone, they are gone for good. Thank you for your question, best of luck to you!
No, Coolsculpting ankles is not a FDA approved area or an area that is normally tried and treated. Although there may be fat around the ankles, coolsculpting applicators come in specific contours made for other parts of the body.
probably not as the fat must be soft enough to suck into the attachment.. Lipo does work there but caution must be taken to avoid nerve damage
Hi there,Spanx or any type of compression wear is not mandatory post Coolsculpt, however, it may help with discomfort post treatment. If you do not like wearing the spanx, you don't have to. You also do not need to avoid ibuprofen before or after your Coolsculpt treatment. That is the beauty o...
It is not likely to adversely affect your treatment outcome from Coolsculpting. But smoking could certainly affect your exercise regimen, which is an important part of the equation when it comes to keeping your weight off.
Thank you for your question. Based on your history, I would definitely go to a plastic surgeon's practice and be evaluated by the surgeon. He/she should be able to assess your area of concern and discuss your options with you. We have several options including Coolsculpting in our pra...
Hi. Your photo indicates that a tuck will provide you maximum shaping by addressing excess skin and likely abdominal wall/muscle looseness (which coolsculpting doesn't) as well as excess fat under the skin. The biggest cons of surgery include anesthesia, downtime/time off work, scars, etc. a...
To answer your question - it is incredibly unlikely that you will develop this condition following Coolsculpting. If you look into the history of this following Coolscuplting, you will see that the statistical likelihood of this happening is less than 1%.
This should be not occurring at this time. I think you should have this evaluated medically hopefully by the clinic that treated you to rule out possibilities of infection vs other medical reasons.
