Thank you for your question. Based on your history, I would definitely go to a plastic surgeon's practice and be evaluated by the surgeon. He/she should be able to assess your area of concern and discuss your options with you. We have several options including Coolsculpting in our practice that can help address reducing subcutaneous fat or tightening the skin. If Coolsculpting is not the right choice for you, then there are other options.
Thanks for your question. CoolSculpting creates a significant suction over the area treated. It cannot be performed over areas where there are hernias or abdominal wall weaknesses. Depending upon the location of your area of concern in relationship to your transplanted kidney, it might be possible. This is a question that would need to be answered by a well qualified surgeon familiar with your situation and one that has a good understanding of your goals. Other means of fat removal might be optional if CoolSculpting is not an appropriate choice. Please seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
I would not recommend this. The risk is just too high for an elective procedure. Not that you can’t have cool sculpting but definitely not over the transplanted kidney.
Thank you for your question. This is something that can only be answered by an in-person evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon. Depending on the exact placement of your kidney, CoolSculpting may not be the right procedure, which is something that your surgeon can let you know after they examine you. There are a variety of other body contouring options available, so you will most likely be able to find an alternative if CoolSculpting is contraindicated. Good luck!
Thanks for your question. I would not recommend coolsculpting over the surgical site of your transplanted kidney. There are many other options for fat loss that could be considered and with an experienced practitioner they could work around your previous medical history. Always seek a qualified and experienced physician when considering treatments in the futur
Hi. Your photo indicates that a tuck will provide you maximum shaping by addressing excess skin and likely abdominal wall/muscle looseness (which coolsculpting doesn't) as well as excess fat under the skin. The biggest cons of surgery include anesthesia, downtime/time off work, scars, etc. a...
To answer your question - it is incredibly unlikely that you will develop this condition following Coolsculpting. If you look into the history of this following Coolscuplting, you will see that the statistical likelihood of this happening is less than 1%.
This should be not occurring at this time. I think you should have this evaluated medically hopefully by the clinic that treated you to rule out possibilities of infection vs other medical reasons.
I don't recommend Coolsculpting for patients with lymphedema. Body sculpting like liposuction may be more safe for lymphedema patients, if done properly with water-assisted removal. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
On average CoolSculpting reduces the fat within the treatment area by 20-25% per treatment. The number of CoolSculpting sessions will vary based on the thickness of the fat layer, individual patient response and patient treatment goals. If you are close to your ideal weight...
Hi. The best way to know the number of cycles is to have a CS applicator template held up against each area. A session of 8 applicators will treat all of the areas marked and achieve about a 20% reduction. Depending upon the thickness of subcutaneous fat, you may wish to have a second se...
