Hi there,Spanx or any type of compression wear is not mandatory post Coolsculpt, however, it may help with discomfort post treatment. If you do not like wearing the spanx, you don't have to. You also do not need to avoid ibuprofen before or after your Coolsculpt treatment. That is the beauty of this treatment. There is minimal downtime with little to no restrictions.
If you are having discomfort, wearing spandex for the area treated usually provides relief. It is not necessary to wear them otherwise.
HI and thank you for your question! We do not require or suggest that patients wear a compression garment or avoid Ibuprofen post treatment. Avoiding blood thinners (such as aspirin and ibuprofen) for a week before the treatment can minimize any chance of bruising, however the chance of bruising is very low with the new applicators anyways. After this procedure, you don't have to wear anything, but for the patients comfort, you can wear a compression garment or spanx for a week or so. You can apply ice and take motrin afterwards to aid in the relief of swelling and soreness. It takes 3 months to see your final result, but you will begin to notice a fat reduction sooner than that, just not your final result.
You don't need to wear spanx- but it can help with the discomfort you may feel afterwords. Common side effects after treatment include numbness, soreness, itching and aching. Spanx, heat or applying ice can help patients with these side effects. You do not need to avoid Ibuprofen- but you can minimize your risk for bruising by avoiding Ibuprofen or Aspirin two weeks prior to treatment.
Thank you for your question.Compression is not required after Coolsculpting for effectiveness of treatment. Some patients feel more comfortable wearing compression, such as Spanx, but it will not effect your results. According to usual protocols, there are no medication restrictions after Coolsculpting.Best of luck,Dr. Kavali
It is important to consult with your provider. Each individual patient may have a specific treatment plan. In my practice we do not ask the patient to wear spanx or to refrain from taking Ibuprofen for 6 weeks. Thank you for your question, best of luck to you!
HI, you do not need to wear Spanx (not required) after coolsculpting. Some people may choose to wear them for comfort. They will not effect your results in any way- make the results better or worse. We do not restrict ibuprophen use after coolsculpting. Always best to weigh out the risks and benefits of what the ibuprophen is needed for.
Thanks for your questions. You do not need to wear spanx after your treatment, but usually compression is recommended for patient comfort. As for the ibuprofen, I would check with your provider on what they recommend. Usually it is recommended to avoid any anti-inflammatories after CoolSculpting for a few weeks. Best of luck!
It is not likely to adversely affect your treatment outcome from Coolsculpting. But smoking could certainly affect your exercise regimen, which is an important part of the equation when it comes to keeping your weight off.
Thank you for your question. Based on your history, I would definitely go to a plastic surgeon's practice and be evaluated by the surgeon. He/she should be able to assess your area of concern and discuss your options with you. We have several options including Coolsculpting in our pra...
Hi. Your photo indicates that a tuck will provide you maximum shaping by addressing excess skin and likely abdominal wall/muscle looseness (which coolsculpting doesn't) as well as excess fat under the skin. The biggest cons of surgery include anesthesia, downtime/time off work, scars, etc. a...
To answer your question - it is incredibly unlikely that you will develop this condition following Coolsculpting. If you look into the history of this following Coolscuplting, you will see that the statistical likelihood of this happening is less than 1%.
This should be not occurring at this time. I think you should have this evaluated medically hopefully by the clinic that treated you to rule out possibilities of infection vs other medical reasons.
I don't recommend Coolsculpting for patients with lymphedema. Body sculpting like liposuction may be more safe for lymphedema patients, if done properly with water-assisted removal. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
