ThermiSmooth is a radiofrequency devices that heats the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production and skin tightening. It does require 3 treatments each spaced 3 weeks apart. It does not require any premedication or numbing and produces a warming/heat sensation during the treatment that is well tolerated by our patients. The results take several months to become apparent but most will say that they feel the skin becoming tighter sooner than this.
Thank you for your question. We often use ThermiTight to treat the upper eye lids and crow's feet (the wrinkles around the eyes); results are amazing and patients love it. ThermiSmooth is recommended for treating the lower eyelids if you have excess skin that's causing droopiness or hollowness. It's a safe and completely noninvasive treatment that topically applies gentle heat to smoothen out your skin. It's a great nonsurgical alternative if you're looking for a subtle change. If you're looking for more drastic results, it may not be the best option for you. Consult with a surgeon and Thermi expert in your area. Good luck!
Thermitight, while being a great option for other areas of the face and body, is not a recommended procedure for the treatment of the lower eyelid bags and skin laxity. Other modalities, such as lower eyelid surgery or filler injections are commonly used to improve the appearance of the lower eyelid. While there may be some anecdotal reports of ThermiTight use for this indication, the safety and efficacy of this treatment have not been proven yet. ThermiSmooth, on the other hand, is a non-invasive radiofrequency based skin tightening modality is indicated for the treatment of the lower eyelid skin laxity and wrinkles.
Although ThermiTight is used to treat skin laxity, it can certainly produce some fat reduction. It works best where there is a small amount of fat. If it is anymore than that, liposuction combined with Thermi will probably give you a better result. This is best determined in the consultation...
Cellulaze has become used less and less in my practice for cellulite i like Vaser smooth with fat transfer or Sculptra injections and then to finish the improvement ThermiRF. I suggest a formal consultaiton to see what is best for you. Dr. Emer.
