Complicated Revision Rhinoplasty Success

I had my first rhinoplasty over 10 years ago with a board certified plastic surgeon and ENT who has top notch credentials. The procedure was supposed to be simple-closed rhinoplasty with a small hump removed. Over the years it became evident that my rhinoplasty was not holding up-asymmetries started appearing, breathing issues, etc. It took a very long time to get the courage to try this surgery again. I consulted with several surgeons in the DMV area. I chose Dr. Somenek after reviewing his background and was convinced to move forward after a patient took the time to speak with me about her successful experience with a rhinoplasty revision done by him. I am over the moon with my results and wish I had done this years ago. My nose looks natural, and I can breathe normally. Dr. Somenek listened to my concerns, and handled me with care as a I was terrified being that it was a complicated revision. Most importantly he delivered on the results. Going through this again was scary, but it was so worth it.

Dr. Somenek performed my revision rhinoplasty a year ago today and I could not be happier with my results. From the initial consultation (I had several with him), to be post-op care, he and his team left no stone unturned when it came to my care. I am truly grateful to have found him and I look forward to working with him again when the time comes. Added bonus; he also specializes in skincare!

Dr. Somenek is an absolute genius when it comes to lifting, defining, and redefining the contours of your face and neck. I've gone to him for "liquid" facelifts and the results are astounding -- I've never felt more beautiful or confident with my looks then I have after he's worked on my face. There are plenty of nurses out there in doctor's offices providing injection services. But why settle for good when you can get great -- and better lasting results? There's no guess work with him. He's a highly skilled plastic surgeon and his sharp eye for nuance and then providing the right injectable in proper measure into just the right place means that you won't have lumpy overfills or a synthetic look afterwards. Plus, he's a super nice guy!! If you're thinking of surgery I would highly recommend him, too. From personal experience I know that you have to be very careful selecting a surgeon, as experience doesn't necessarily equate to results. Many experienced doctors paint by numbers and offer you customary and even outdated procedures with potentially subpar and short-lived results. However, Dr. Somenek is knowledgeable about and practices the most current techniques available. If you're going to make the effort and spend the time and money on plastic surgery, you want lasting results that are best suited to your face instead of an assembly-line look that won't endure. Again, why settle for good when you can have great?

I am delighted to share my experience and results from Somenek MD & Pittman MD. I had been looking for a treatment to help tighten and shrink my abdomen, as I work out and eat healthy but couldn’t seem to tighten my core. Well, TruSculpt did it for me and I couldn’t be happier. I have been searching for a Dr for awhile and have had fillers done before but not the results I expected. I saw several reviews online about Dr Somenek and after watching his videos and looking at some of his work I decided to make a appointment. I had radiesse done and did not see much results by another dr that had some good deals at the time and radiesse is 1.5 so i should have had some decent results. I advised Dr Somenek and I honestly just needed some refreshing on my face and a lift so I told him my history and what I wanted. I had 1 cc on each side of Restylane lyft on my cheeks per his reccomendation. I asked probably 20 different questions to Dr Somenek and his nurse who was super sweet and he was so polite answering and making recommendations on products and different ways the filler works. In the past I heard restylane did not have very good results and I was not expecting crazy great results but what I will stress to everyone who goes and tries to get the best deal you get what you pay for. So basically I would shop around for price and check for decent reviews and have filler done and if you add up the different times filler was not injected the best way it adds up. Go to someone professional and don’t always look for the best deal. Long story short I have no bruising... I didn’t even feel him injecting hardly.. He took his time and made sure my face was even. I love my results it looks natural and I look refreshed and he advised me how and what needs to be done to get the results I need and to maintain. Oh and I came to the office for a different procedure and he advised me filler would not give me the results Im looking for. The appointment was complete and I advised him my face looked tired and he told me some options. I feel he is honest and knows what he is doing and knows where to inject product properly. I will be back for all my fillers.. and you get what you pay for. The pricing was actually under the average cost for filler so I am very happy! Office is super clean and office staff are very polite and professional. Also no one asked me to do a review I don’t think they really need many because they seemed busy and its like people know about this place.

I’ve wanted a nose job since I was very young. I love my face but I’ve always felt like my nose just wasn’t me. Over the years the bump on the side became larger and the tip of my nose was droopier and more bulbous. Finally this year, I decided to treat myself. I’ve been seeing Dr. Somenak for several years for Botox and fillers. So on the day of surgery it was so comforting to see him Sheena in the operating room. The surgical center was lovely, super clean, professional, on time, and very reasonable in terms of cost. People described everything to me, answered all my questions, and made sure I was super comfortable. I woke up without pain, just a little nauseous. I spent a week at home recovering with a cast but again, the pain was minimal. I took pain meds for 2 days and then stopped because I didn’t need them. Dr. Somenak said to eat pineapple for the bruising, take Arnica, and follow all the post op instructions, which I did and today, 1 week later, I got my cast off and stitches removed, and immediately started tearing up when I saw my nose for the first time! I love it!! It’s so beautiful. I couldn’t have imagined a cuter more perfect nose and it’s only been one week! It’s true to my face, my personality, my ethnicity, and I just love it! I went to another appointment at a med spa right after seeing Dr Somenak today and I had a nurse and an esthetician running out of their rooms to see, and they were so impressed with his work. I can count on these ladies to tell me the brutal truth about things, and they’ve also had their noses done. They said, “No, THIS is amazing! Tell him it’s perfect.” Then I started crying again :) I’m so happy and I want everyone who is considering rhinoplasty to just go for it and go with Dr. Somenak. Life is short, so don’t spend anymore time living with a nose that you don’t like. What a change the tweak of such a tiny body part can make. Thank you Dr Somenak and Sheena!!

For so long I have been trying to conceal my dark circles which are mostly hereditary, but my lifestyle does not help! I ended up doing research on under eye fillers and knew this was what i wanted! Im my search i came across Dr. Somenek's website and decided I wanted to meet with him based on the information and videos on his site. SO GLAD I MADE THIS DECISION! Dr. Somenek is so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable at my consultation. This was important to me in a doctor considering this person was going to be sticking needles in my face close to my eyes!! :) I have been twice to Dr. Somenek for this treatment (about 9 months apart) and would literally NEVER see anyone else. I am supposed to be relocating soon and please believe I will be back to see Dr. Somenek for my annual treatments! My results were nothing short of amazing and the procedure itself was relatively painless! This has actualy cut my morning routine in half, as i do not have to pile on concealer! I hardly wear any makeup unless i am going OUT! :) I will never let anyone else touch my face. Thank you so much, Dr. Somenek! It was worth every penny!

I had a freak accident that led me to Dr. Somenek. The procedure was very intense and Dr. Somenek warned me it will take a very long time to heal. He was very tentative from the beginning to end. Dr. Somenek planned out every single steps from the initial procedure, check ups, and follow procedures (2 to be exact). I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to have found Dr. Somenek. He was able to fit me into his schedule and fixed my nose as early as possible. I will definitely miss all the check ups, he has a very nice office and his staff is amazing. Highly recommended.

Considered a procedure to "freshen up"my lips. I have thin lips to begin with but as I am aging they were disappearing.
I didn't want pain.
Didn't want downtime.
It didn't hurt.
I had makeup on the next day.
My lips looks fantastic and very subtle, No Duck lips. I was very pleased with how Dr. Somenek took time to talk to me and tell me various options to improve my overall look as I age. He gave me wonderful suggestions to improve my appearance with many options and stages to accomplish my goals.

I have disliked my nose ever since I was in middle school. For the past few years, I had been thinking seriously about rhinoplasty and, at 27, decided it was finally time to make a change and start looking for surgeons. Dr. Somenek was one of two surgeons I met with for a consultation, and it was an easy choice to decide that I wanted him as my surgeon. From the first visit to his office, I felt comfortable and, most importantly, I felt respected and heard. Dr. Somenek was always extremely patient, listening to my insecurities with my nose, answering all of my questions, and clearly describing what the surgery and recovery would entail. During my visits before my surgery, I was able to see expected results of myself via computer imaging, which really helped me envision my new nose. What I really like about Dr. Somenek's "style" of surgery is that he makes sure to maintain the integrity of the nose. He does not overdo it and does not say he will give you certain results if he knows those results are not realistic. I let him know that I wanted to keep my strong nose but to tweak certain areas so that I felt more confident about my appearance, and so I could breathe out of my nose better. I also appreciated that fact that he specializes in rhinoplasty and that he has extensive education and experience with plastic surgery. The morning of my surgery, I was so nervous, but he made me feel better by coming to speak with me beforehand, clearly outlining the surgery and exactly what he was going to do. I'll be honest, the first couple days of recovery were rough, but once I was in day 3 of post-op, I felt pretty good! I had minimal swelling and only some bruising around one of my eyes. I made sure to take my pain meds and ice consistently. By day 3 post-op, I had switched from my pain meds and to tylenol. I am about 5 weeks post-op, and I am so happy with how my nose looks so far! It's amazing how much more confident I feel already. I finally feel like my nose is just a part of my face and not a glaring feature that I was constantly worrying about. I can breathe so much better, as he was able to significantly straighten my septum, and I think my nose fits my face so much better. I feel like this was the nose I was supposed to have. I am so happy with my decision to undergo rhinoplasty, and I honestly could not have imagined a better, more kind, or more patient surgeon than Dr. Somenek. I am excited to see how my nose continues to change in the coming months. This is only the beginning of a new wonderful chapter of life!
