I would also think that in the long run you will see a decrease in frequency of ingrown hairs developing since miraDry also reduces the amount of hair growth.

Yes it is possible to use miraDry on skin that has old scars. If you suffer from a condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa, in which "boils" form in the armpits and/or groin area (google it for pictures), then you must be in remission first. Be well.

So far, MiraDry has been well studied in the armpit region and it's proven to be safe and effective with a response of 75 to 82% reduction in sweating with one treatment. I am not sure if any physician would be completely comfortable using this "off label" in the buttocks.
