Thank you for your question.  miraDry is a great procedure and can be done in the setting of ingrown hairs so long as you don't have an active infection.  I would also think that in the long run you will see a decrease in frequency of ingrown hairs developing since miraDry also reduces the amount of hair growth.

Yes it is possible to use miraDry on skin that has old scars.  If you suffer from a condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa, in which "boils" form in the armpits and/or groin area (google it for pictures), then you must be in remission first.  Be well.
