Any idea what would cause severe back pain after BBL and lipo? Had surgery 2 yrs ago

Hello @sherilynne5, thank you for your question. it's unusual for a BBL and lipo to be the direct source of back pain, especially this long after the surgery. Most typically, any back discomfort associated with a this procedure would arise shortly after the procedure and be related to altered posture due to the healing process. You might consider consulting a neurologist or an orthopedic specialist who can provide a thorough evaluation and explore other potential causes of your pain. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

It is impossible to say what caused the new onset back pain post BBL procedure.
Have you tried either Neurontin or Lyrica? These are controlled medications (non-narcotic though) which many times alleviate the pain and sometimes "resets" the nerve (like a circuit breaker) and after 2 weeks of usage, the pain resolves.

There is no known correlation between having liposuction, fat, transfer and developing lower back pain. Considering that lower back pain is one of the most common ailments we face it is most likely coincidental that you also had a BBL procedure.
It’s unlikely you going to get useful advice, asking plastic surgeons about back pain.
Some peoples back pain can be treated while others have limited response to intervention.
Back pain is so common and so difficult to treat an entire faux medical industry called chiropractic has developed because of it.
