I had botox about a month and a half ago. Immediately I noticed huge bags under both eyes and I had a bad twitch on my right eye when i smiled. The twitch would sometimes go to the left side but mostly stayed on the right eye. I also noticed my cheeks weren't lifting like normal when i smiled and my right cheek is noticeably more droopy than the left. Is this a permanent side effect or will I eventually go back to normal?
Answer: This comes from having Botox injected too low on the crows feet area. Like all Botox services, this will eventually wear off. This will take about 4 months. What is critical is not to chase after a "fix for the fix." This will definitely lead you into trouble. Don't do it. It is tempting because injectors you see will want to try to "fix" this. There is no fix other than letting this treatment wear off. Don't waste a lot of psychic energy on this. Yes the issue is noticeable. The good news is you mask will cover this when you are out and about. Keep your mask on. This will get better and don't go back to the injector who did this to you.

Answer: Not happy with Botox results: What you need to know about neuromodulators Hello and thank you for your question. Botox is generally a safe procedure, but in the hands of an inexperienced injector, complications may occur. Side effects may include droopy eyelids or Botox migrating from the injection site to the adjacent muscles. But these are only temporary and should be resolved in a few weeks or months (Botox lasts for 3-4 months). I recommend seeking treatments from reputable board-certified dermatologists and facial plastic surgeons. These experts not only have the knowledge and experience necessary to perform Botox treatments, but they have the aesthetic eye to produce natural-looking results. You may schedule an in-person consultation to have your face evaluated, allowing your doctor to design the best and safest treatment plan for your concerns and goals.

Answer: Botox side effect Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case it does look as though this is a negative side effect of botox treatment. In this case it's likely the botox has migrated in to the wrong area however it will resolve with a few weeks and return to normal. I hope that helps answer your question. Always seek an experienced and qualified medical professional for these treatments. Very best wishes

Answer: Luckily, this isn't permanent :) It seems like some of the toxin was either injected or migrated into one of the muscles that lift the corner of the mouth/cheek. This can happen on occasion, but the effects will usually dwindle and disappear within a few weeks to months. Hope this helps!

Answer: Cheek dropped after Botox to crows feet - is this a permanent side effect? Hello @gabpnw thank you for your question. Rest assure Botox effect is not permanent, it takes 3 months approximately for botox effects start disappearing. The effect is progressive, that means when you have botox it will not have a blocking effect the instant the you had it applied or the next day, you start seeing the effects 3 days after the application and the same thing happens when the botox is wearing off. You will go back to normal, I suggest you wait til the effects disappear and go to another board certified specialist to treat the crow feels. Botox is a miraculous substance, the secret is in the application technique. Best of luck! Alan Gonzalez MD
