Will my skin tighten up again after masseter Botox?

Botox is a temporary treatment. Final results from Botox are seen two weeks after injection. The results will fade gradually over time, typically over three to four months. You should return to a look similar to that prior to treatment once the Botox has worn off.

The results from masseter botox appear pretty quickly after injection. The face does look slimmer but one trade off is as you flatten the lower cheek, there will be some loosening of the jawline skin and soft tissues. It’s like the opposite of fillers which tend to volumize and hence lift the tissues. Depending on your age, you may get some contraction of the overlying skin but not very significant tightening like a mid face or jawline lift would do. Usually the slimming effect creates more of a “V” shaped face and looks better despite the slight descent of skin.
