I like that my nose has a slight bump in it and would want to keep it that way, but just make the nose smaller overall in profile (while maintaining the shape for the most part). Is this possible?

Answer: Rhinoplasty candidate for smaller nose and still leave a dorsal hump Without a full set of pictures, it is very difficult to comment on what can and cannot be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure. The dorsum of the nose is composed of both bone and cartilage, and contributes significantly to making the nose large and projecting. Remember, the nose is with 3-dimensional structure and it must look good in every different angle and function properly. It is possible to make the nose smaller, and leave a rather full, straight dorsal profile in some patients. Computer imaging in the office setting would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished. Rhinoplasty is the hardest operation to perform in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon very wisely based on experience.
