Lower eyelid position is exquisitely sensitive to skin removal. The mole can be removed, but its important to properly assess skin excess and wound closure/tension. Discuss this case with an oculoplastic surgeon as they have the most experience with this specific type of problem.

Many lesions that are removed from the upper or lower eyelids can result in notching of the eyelids after it heals.  Any post-surgical deformity is important to avoid, and you should speak with a facial or oculoplastic surgeon that operates around the eyelids often.  That being said, the lesion from the picture could likely be removed safely.  It should be sent to a pathologist for review upon removal.

Lower eyelid skin requires special consideration when removing a skin lesion, as improper procedure can lead to abnormal appearance of lower eyelid.  Based on the photo the mole most likely can be removed with minimal scarring, of course only an in person evaluation can determine the best surgical approach. 

Minor surgery is needed to remove these.  The American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery maintains a region directory that will help you find a highly qualified surgeon close to home who can assist you.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on
your photograph, you could have your eyelid mole excision safely performed.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

can be done simply with punch biopsy devices and you can either leave the defect open to heal on its own or close it with a stitch.  You have a lot of moles and if you want assurances that you do not have some kind of cancer, it should be sent for pathology.

I agree with the other reply in that the lesion would be relatively straightforward to remove without causing a disruption to the normal eyelid position and function. I would recommend that the lesion be removed and sent to a pathologist to ensure that the lesion is not a cancerous lesion.

Hi and thanks for your question!  This mole is on your lower eyelid extremely close to your eyelashes.  That makes it a pretty difficult area to treat given you look on the younger side.  If you were older and had lots of excess skin, you could remove it without affecting your lower lid position but you would be at risk of having your lower lid being pulled down.  You could also do a lower eyelid wedge resection which would remove some of your eyelashes but that would leave you with pretty reasonable vertical scar coming down.  Either way you would be left with a scar but if you came to me, I would strongly urge you to leave it alone as the risk in trying to remove it wouldn't be worth it.  Best of luck!   

You have several moles and may have atypical mole syndrome.  Moles in this area are best removed by a plastic surgeon.  It may be possible to do it under local anesthesia, depending on how close it is to the lashes and lid margin.  It can also be done with you asleep if needed.  Be sure it is sent for analysis to a pathologist as it is dark.   I would also recommend a check from head to toe on your moles annually.
