I had my lips injected about 6 hours ago. For the first 2-3 hours, I thought they looked amazing! However, since then they have swelled significantly. I have done my research and know swelling is normal but is it to this extent? I'm embarrassed to go out in public.
Answer: Extreme swelling of lips following Restylane silk injections Swelling after a Restylane Silk injection is not uncommon and can be more pronounced in some individuals. It’s typically temporary and should subside within a few days to a week. To manage the swelling, you can try applying ice or cold compress to the area and avoid touching or pressing on it. If the swelling persists or worsens, it’s important to consult with the healthcare professional who administered the treatment for proper guidance and to rule out any complications.

Answer: This is not a normal reaction to fillers. Thank you for your question and the photo. This is not a normal reaction to fillers. You should go to your local emergency room to seek medical attention to ensure there is not hematoma or anaphylactic reaction. You should have the filler reveres right away with hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!
