I had my tear troughs treated with Restalyne 1 mL of Silk 6 days ago. I am so concerned I am experiencing the Tyndell effect because I didn't bruise much and now I am much bluer hue is very visible.
Answer: Tindall effect? Thanks for posting your photos. At 6 days from your injection, it's not possible to tell if this is swelling or something else. I suggest you follow up with your injector around two weeks. Best wishes, Dr. Aldo

Answer: Tyndall-Knowing What's Normal with Tear Trough Injections It's difficult to tell from your photos. I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, this can be reversed with hyaluronidase. I like Belotero for under the eyes and recommend using cannulas to limit complications. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Tyndell post Restylane Tear troughs It is too early to tell. My recommendation is to wait 2 weeks and the reassess. It is possible that this will continue to go down. If it does not than your injector can easily remove the excess with some hyaluronidase.

Answer: Tyndall effect? Need more filler? Thanks for your question and thanks for the photos – they do help. We always recommend that you have these injections performed in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons – we do understand the filers the best and what to do if, potentially, something goes wrong. You had Restylane Silk injected – this is a filler that causes a lot of swelling, so most of us will only inject a small amount in each tear trough – even less then when other fillers are used. One syringe is a lot of Silk – and swelling can be impressive with that amount which is probably what is going on here – and not the Tyndall Effect. I would recommend waiting another few days, using a lot of ice to the area, and then going back to your provider to determine if the material was placed too superficially or if this is just swelling. If it is not placed right, hyaluronidase can be used. If the swelling does not subside, hyaluronidase can also be used – but I think you will find it will settle down and it may end up ok. Good luck.

Answer: Tear Trough Injections Although swelling in not uncommon even 6 days after the injection of the tear trough, I do think I see Tyndall effect in your photographs. This can be potentially avoided by strategically placing the filler at the correct depth. Please consult your injector as soon as possible as this can be reversed with hyalurodinase. Belotero and Restylane work well in this area. Juvederm tends to lead to more swelling compared to the other two products.
