Is bruising and muscle pain all the way doing in my groin normal after my Breast augmentation? (photos)

Thank you for the question and photos.  Bruising at this stage should be at a minimal or even none but it is not uncommon to experience it.  It looks like the bleeding has reached the groin area.  best to follow up with your board-certified plastic surgeon about your concern.  Best of luck. Transaxillary approach is not my preferred method of breast augmentation so I rarely use that technique.  It has to be considered unusual to have bruising this far out from surgery.  Did you have severe swelling early on?  Have you had any recent trauma?  Keep in close touch with your surgeon and discuss any changes with him or her.

Hithanks for the question. It is a little far out after surgery to still be having bruising but not out of the realm of possibility. The bruising does look like old blood and is likely from bleeding in the axilla that slowly leaked down your rib cage towards the groin. I wouldn't worry as long as it doesn't get worse, if it does then you need to see your surgeon to see what is going on.good luck

Hi  mei2cc,It would be interesting to know if your surgeon used an endoscope for the transaxillary augmentation. If not, the procedure is done in a more blunt manner and some bleeding  and pain can extend down the ribs. However, pain and bruising in the groin is not typical. I don't need to worry as the pain will subside over the next few weeks and will the bruising. Your photos show a good result. Try to avoid any heavy lifting or stenuous excercise over the next few weeks and your symptoms should subside.
