Choosing Dr. Zegzula for my breast augmentation revision was honestly the best decision. At 60 years old I was concerned about achieving my goals and feeling secure with the outcome. I wanted to be able to fix my breast from a previous surgery, which I was never satisfied with and ended up being very unattractive. Dr. Zegzula attention to detail, surgical technique, and exceptional bedside manner exceeded my expectations, and I received the highest quality care. He made me feel comfortable to ask my many questions, and even went over pictures of what my breast augmentation would look like, and reassured me multiple times on the surgical procedure. His goal was to help me achieve my ideal image while still recommending what was best surgically for my body type (pretty narrow rib cage). My breast augmentation met all of my expectations now too months post op. No pain/swelling, and no numb areas in my breasts. My size is symmetrical and proportionate to my body type. Not only is Dr. Zegzula a great surgeon, he is incredibly kind, caring, and a fantastic listener. He has exceeded all of my expectations of a top notch surgeon!
From the ease of appointment setting, the friendliness of the front office staff and the dedication of the patient coordinator helping navigate insurance to the actual surgery and follow up - I could not be happier or feel like I was in better hands... from the whole team! Dr. Zegzula is a PERFECTIONIST - and that's exactly what I wanted in a surgeon. He is honest, yet professionally caring, personable and supportive. I am 6 weeks post op from a breast reduction/lift and tummy tuck and I look and feel amazing!!! Going from a G to a C (and being perky for the first time in decades!) is life changing. My neck no longer hurts, at all. I am extremely grateful for the care and skill of Dr. Z and his team.
I never thought I’d be in the market for a plastic surgeon. But then I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and was facing the reality of having a double mastectomy. Suddenly I found myself in the middle of a lot of big choices. I can’t say how fortunate I am to have gotten on board with Dr Zegzula. I felt heard and taken care of. I also can’t say enough about how amazing his staff is. Any time I called with questions everything was clearly explained to me (and in a compassionate way). I now am 6 months post reconstruction and I am amazed at what he was able to give me. He indeed is a talented surgeon. I thank my lucky stars every day. This pair isn't going to kill me! AND they look great.
As a breast cancer patient, I needed to have the highest confidence in my doctors. It is such an emotional & physical journey, so having the best surgeons was imperative. Dr Zegzula & Dr Nathalie Johnson (oncology surgeon) otherwise known as the “dream team” came highly recommended from their fellow doctors, nurses, & previous patients. Dr Zegzula took the time to walk me through my options, dry my tears, counsel me with my choice & provided all the information I needed for a healthy recovery. He is an excellent surgeon and passionate about his work. He wants each patient to have good experience with very happy results. My new “girls” are cancer free & look great. I highly recommend Portland Plastic Surgery, all their staff & Dr Zegzula. You can choose them with confidence.
Dr. Zegzula is a brilliant surgeon. But more importantly, he is just a brilliant human being. I had saline implants put in when I was in high school. 20 years later, I knew I needed a change but was very unsure what I wanted or when. New implants, no implants, a lift or not..I couldn't decide. I met with Dr. Zegzula several times over a few years. During that time, Dr. Zegzula's patience, expertise and basic humanity was on full display. He came up with a plan, executed it in phases, which allowed me to decide what was best for me. There was never any judgement or influence from Dr. Zegzula, which I find is rare in the plastic surgeon filed. In the end, I did replace my implants, under the muscle, but smaller and I got a lift. My breasts are amazing. They are perky, perfectly symmetrical, and my recovery was without incident. I feel amazing and natural. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Zegzula. He is a master at his craft.
Dr. Zegzula performed my breast augmentation surgery about 6 months ago and did a wonderful job. Before selecting him, I did an extensive amount of research and feel confident that he is one of the best doctors in the area. During my initial consultation as well as during each of my following visits Dr. Zegzula was patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. In my natural state, I have almost no breast tissue and wanted this surgery in order to acquire a modest, natural-looking, size increase. In consulting with the doctor about my goals, we agreed that the best way to achieve this look would be to go with a shaped 310 cc silicon implant below the muscle, through an inframammary incision. I went from being pretty much flat-chested to a perky 32C. Since the surgery, my breasts have settled nicely and they look/feel amazing --I am thrilled the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Zegzula to anyone.
Dr. Zegzula was wonderful! He performed a breast lift on me. The entire experience went better then I could have hoped for! My breasts are firm and perky again. Highly recommend. I love the results! I feel confident again. Love!
I had a tummy tuck and muscle repair done on may 30th and it was one of the best things I have ever done!! Dr. Zegzula is informative, percise, and answered every question I had. I would definitely recommend him. I am 8 days post op and I am already very happy with my results. It's crazy to think that my tummy will be even smaller once the swelling goes down! The pain from the muscle repair is no joke, but so worth it.
Dr Zegzula is absolutely the best! I spent hours and hours researching doctors in the area, looking at photos of their work, reading reviews, and getting recommendations from friends. I had interviews with 3 doctors. As soon as my husband and I met Dr Zegzula, it was an easy decision. He made us feel comfortable and educated. Every appointment we had we felt cared for and not like just another patient to get to. I had a consultation for breast augmentation and a possible tummy tuck. He did not recommend a tummy tuck, I did not have enough loose skin to justify the scar. As silly as it sounds, it made me really trust him! Other doctors would have done it for the money and not had my happiness with the outcome in mind. My breast augmentation is perfect! Dr Zegzula listened to exactly what I was wanting and exceeded my expectations. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable on surgery day. the results are stunning and I could not be happier! If you are looking for the best, no question Dr Zegzula is it!
My experience with Portland Plastic Surgery Group and Dr. Zegzula was all that I would have hoped for. The outcomes were better than I expected and I highly recommend people do a consult with his group. I did a lot of research in the area and Dr. Zegzula is well trained, has a long track record of success, his prices are appropriate for the area and his follow through is exemplary.
The implants that you are referring to were originally called Athena implants and I am am art of the study that was used to obtain FDA clearance to use this implants. I am happy to report that these implants have been approved by the FDA for use and are now available. Implant sizes up to 1440 cc were approved by the FDA for women undergoing breast reconstruction.
Hello. The photo of the xray you submitted is flipped. The heart and therefore the gas bubble should be on the left side (as if someone was looking at you, so your left would be on the right side of the photo). The gas bubble you see is in your stomach, not in your implant. Xrays are not good tests to look at breast implants. If you have concerns you should get an Ultrasound and if that does not answer any questions you may have you could then get an MRI. I am curious, why did you get the chest xray? Did you have any concerns before looking at the xray?
Hello. Revision breast surgery is always more complicated than the original procedure. Having the prior operative note from the first breast lift would be very helpful. That being said it does not appear that your issue is overly complicated. I have extensive experience with breast surgery revisions and I practice in your area. I would be happy to see you in consultation.
Without a proper examination it is impossible to tell if your measurements are accurate. That being said, I doubt that 16 cm is an accurate BWD for you. At 5'3" I would expect a something smaller. The implant sizes that you are considering are some of the largest implants that are currently available in the US. You will be at risk for synmastia (uniboob), double bubble, bottoming out, significant skin stretch , chronic pain and skin numbness. I would recommend seeking a second opinion/evaluation and considering going significantly smaller.
I would run, not walk away from a situation like that. Your caring family medicine doctor was likely trained at a weekend course and he/she has no other formal surgical training. I would not recommend having liposuction from anyone who isn't board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
