Thank you for the question. With facelift and neck lift, the terminology is all over the map. Costs really depend on what exactly is being done. For a true mini-facelift, cost in the Bay Area is around $10,000. A mini-neck lift doesn't really exist, unless you are talking about a direct neck excision (where skin is removed under the chin). This is generally performed only in men, and often as an alternative to a true neck lift.
#Cost of #miniFacelift, #litelift, #lifestylelift and othermodified #facelift #cosmetic surgeryCostswill depend on several factors: the geographic location, the skill andexperience of the surgeon, and operating room and anesthesia fees. Approximate costs can be found on the RealSelf website, Surgery.org, or PlasticSurgery.org
This would be a procedure with very limited indication. A mini neck lift would involve only dissection under the chin to remove excess fat and tighten the platysma muscle without doing incisions around the ears. If there is significant excess skin it is difficult for this procedure to result in a nice contour for most patients since skin is not excised, thus it is not commonly indicated. Cost would be in the $4k range.
When it comes to costs of face and neck lift procedures, they depend on many aspects: surgeon's overhead, geographic area, experience etc. Necklift surgery can range from $3,500 to $10,000 depending on where you live.Interestingly, a mini necklift was never requested in my practice. Rather, patients in the Northeast request the best neck result they can achieve.
The one factor is important to determine is what areayou want to improved and then determine witch procedure needs to beexecuted. Evaluation of the patientfirst preferable in person is essentialto desire the procedure. Pictures is a second option and give us andidea as to which procedure will correct the desire area. The cost of the procedure will vary to thecity and the surgeon so the sameprocedure can vary tremendously depending in this factors.
I have been in practice for a long time and I have never really heard of a "mini" neck lift unless you have a direct excision of skin there with the trade off of highly visible scars. That is called a cervicoplasty and is rarely done. Mini facelifts are common, however, when it comes to the neck area, most patients want their neck looking youthful and smooth with an attractive jawline. The persistence of loose skin of the neck after any neck lift is disappointing. You don't want to go through a surgery with the expense and time off for recovery, just to be unhappy with the results. In addition, you continue to age so that central neck skin can sag again. Make sure you do your research so that your investment pays off. Cost ranges from $6500-$10,000 depending on what is involved.
These are great questions you are asking. Thecost of a mini neck lift is dependent on a few factors in my practice. They are:1)Facility Fee2)Anesthesia Fee3)Surgeon’s FeeI willtalk about each of them.Thefacility fee is cost paid to the location where is surgery is performed. Thiscovers all of the supplies, instruments, and staff that will take care of you. This can be an outpatient surgery center or hospital.Theanesthesia fee is the monies paid to cover the cost of the medical personsuppling the anesthesia and supplies.Thesurgeon's fee is paid to your mini neck lift surgeon. It covers all of youroffice visits before and after surgery and the surgery. This fee will changebased on the amount of work and difficultly of the minilift. Revision surgerygenerally will be more expensive.Generallyspeaking a mini neck lift can vary from 7,500 to 9,500 dollars.
Unfortunately, plastic surgeries don’t have clear-cut price tags. The cost of your procedure will depend on many factors, including:How extensive and time-consuming your procedure is Whether your surgery is performed under general anesthesia in an operating room or with local anesthesia (numbing) in your surgeon’s office. A procedure with general anesthesia costs significantly more because you’ll have additional fees for the operating room, the anesthesiologist, etc. Where your surgery takes place (the cost of plastic surgery varies with the cost of living in different cities) How experienced your surgeon is Whether you combine the mini neck lift with any other procedures, like mini liposuction These factors all play a role in the cost of any cosmetic surgery. My advice is to identify a few board-certified plastic surgeons you’re considering, schedule consultations with each one of them, and discuss the costs for the specific approach each one plans to use. While we all understand that finances are a necessary consideration, they shouldn’t be your only factor in choosing a plastic surgeon or a procedure.
The short answer to your question is that the cost will depend in several factors.1. Surgeons cost or fee. Depending on the area of the country you live expect the fee to be higher or lower. A facelift/neck lift in Manhattan cost way more that the same procedure done in Iowa (no offense intended). Factors as rent of the office space and others will determine the cost of the surgeon procedure.2. Anesthesia cost. The anesthetist of nurse aesthesis will charge for their services.3. Facility cost. You will have to pay for a facility cost. This will include the space of the operating room, instruments, disposables, sutures, etc.For a neck lift expect to pay between 2,500 to 4-5,000 depending on the geographical place in the US that you do the surgery. Then you will have to add the anesthesia and facility cost.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz
Hi, there are many different versions of facelifts, even mini-lifts. It's important to be certain that you have a "proper" facelift that addresses the SMAS layer albeit through a mach smaller incision. I call this a minimal incision or a short incision facelift. The indication for any form of a facelift is the presence of "jowls". The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured. The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:very small incisionsminimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recoverycan be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesiano incisions within the hair = no hair lossexcess fat can be removedexcess skin removedcheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Perlane) or facial implantsmost patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-opPrices will vary based upon the Facelift Surgeon's reputation, experience and location. Hope this helps.
