My doctor has recommended I need a mini face lift and Fractora treatment for my crepey neck. Please advise if this is the right procedure for my issue. I am 49 years old.
Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck -- Kybella, Ultherapy, Thermage, PDO NovaThreads vs VASER Hi-Def, ThermiRF, Renuvion, BodyTite "A combination approach would give the most improvement. Nonsurgical options such as Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, and Ultherapy do well in combination for skin tightening, but the results are mild compared to surgical options. I would recommend a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J Plasma) and InMode BodyTite to contour and tighten the chin and neck. A neck lift can be performed at the same time, if you're a good candidate. I suggest seeing a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer."

Answer: Loose Neck Procedure Hello there. Thank you for sharing with the physician community. Based on your photo only, I would say that you are not a candidate for a "minilift'. I say this simply because you have too much skin laxity in the upper and mid neck regions. A minilift traditionally will do a great job tightening the jawline and upper one third of the neck. Based on your picture I feel you would need more. In our practice, I would recommend a standard lower facelift/necklift (with incisions behind the ears). This approach would adequately address the overall laxity of the neck skin and muscle. Additionally, I would probably remove any fat under your chin and possibly tighten the muscle under the chin as well. Depending on your surgeon, this can all be performed under local anesthesia in the office. Good luck!

Answer: Neck lift A mini lift typically does not dissect into the neck. The results in the neck after a mini lift can be very nice in the beginning, but tend to relapse early. For this reason, I recommend a full facelift in patients who are concerned with excess neck skin or fullness. A full facelift will dissect into the neck, tighten the platysma muscles and give a long lasting correction in this area, as well as the other areas treated.

Answer: More than a mini llft Thanks for posting your photo. In my opinion a mini lift would not be adequate to address the loos skin of the neck. I would advise a neck lift and/or lower facelift to get the desired results. Please consult with several board certified experienced surgeons.

Answer: Neck crepey skin options For the pictures that you post. The cords that you see in your neck need to be corrected with the work in the Platysma muscle and also the looseness in your neck need to be corrected with the skin removal. This to steps are done at the same time and during the Neck Lift operation.
