Answer: Abdominal evaluation Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, even though you do not want a tummy tuck, a tummy tuck is definitely your best option. This can be done through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Could I get these scars removed without having to get a tummy tuck? 4 horizontal c sections and 1 vertical c hyst. Thank you for sharing your question. The only way to get rid of the vertical scar would be through a tummy tuck procedure. One can not permanently get rid of scarring, one can only replace one scar for another. Hope this helps.

Answer: Scars removed Thanks for your question. Unfortunately once you have an incision, there will be a scar. A scar revision could possibly help to give you a thinner scar. It also depends on how old thay scar is. Some scars take up to a year to completely fade. I would suggest meeting with a surgeon to discuss your options.
