I have a red bump on my back, behind my shoulder for 3 years. It has white dots on in the center and 3 around the rim . I'm tried tretinoin and chemical exfoliants but it didnt seem to be effective in making it go away. What treatments options are available? I went to a derm and was told to use benzyl hydroxide. Should I have it drained? My camera isn't great so the images weren't clear.
Hello 34 year old female here. I was injured a year and a half ago which resulted in a small gash on my forehead. It healed raised and hard. Over the past months Ive been doing scar massage and using silicone scar tape. I did do a few Microneedling sessions where I did see improvement. Sometimes the scar looks flat and other times it looks raised as in this photo. Why is that and what can I do to truly flatten the scar?
I got breast augmentation 5 years ago through incisions made in the armpit. The scars eventually widened and are quite pigmented. I did no after care for these immediately after the surgery, and have only recently begun doing Fraxel laser treatments and Excel V treatments for them (6 Fraxel and 2 Excel V). The color and texture have admittedly improved, but progress is slow and they are noticeable when my arms are not raised. I am wondering if these scars are good candidates for scar removal surgery considering they are older scars, or if there are additional/alternatice treatments I could do to have them fade almost completely. I asked my original surgeon and she said she could not guarantee the scar wouldnt widen again, but I also never followed proper wound care so just wanted to get some second opinions. Thanks!
I had a steroid shot injected into a trauma scar on my nose to reduce scar tissue. the area around the scar has become atrophic but scar area itself is still raised. My dr told me I have to wait the full 6 months to see how my scar will fully heal after the shot but Im wondering if the scar is actually cartilage and not scar tissue since its still a bump after the shot. the scar doesnt feel hard. Im wondering if anyone can help me and give me advice on what I can do to help it become less raised. (its been 3 months)
I have a scar in the centre of my forehead. It is now two years old but Im concerned about how its healed. Its not a thin line like Id have hoped but a bit wider. Is this likely to be less noticeable with time? Its also quite white. Is there anything I can do to help? Thanks
Have a nice day! I would like to ask you about my acne scars. What treatments would help most effectively? What combination treatment would be good for it? Would Punch Excision be good for the scars on my forehead? Male, 26 years old, 195 cm, 85kg.
I had Mohs surgery on my face 10 years ago. The incision line itself healed well, however, there is still a raised area at the bottom of the scar. Its not red, just raised seemingly below the skin. I had some laser work done on it a few years ago (not sure what type), but it didnt help. I recently spoke to a facial plastic surgeon who stated that there was not much he could do. I would love to know if there is any recommended procedure to reduce or eliminate the raised area. Thank you.
