I have two small but stubborn red scars on my body, one on my left arm and one on my right arm. They have been red for over five years and have not improved at all despite multiple Vbeam laser treatments and consistent use of silicone gel and sheets. These scars are extremely frustrating and affect my confidence. I feel like I have tried everything and nothing has worked. I am looking for a real solution and would appreciate any expert advice on what to try next.
What can be done about the scaring in front of the ear? Would you restitch, laser, other? It feels slightly indented as well. The other side is not bad and much closer to the lobe. Im 9 months out:
I had sutures on my face which will be removed this week. I am wondering how soon I can do CO2 laser to minimize scarring. According to this research article, there is benefit in doing early CO2 one week after suture removal. But many physicians on RealSelf recommend waiting months before doing CO2 laser. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31286546/
I had a surgery to remove fibroids 3 years ago. I think they sewed me in a weird way because it looks like a deep gun shot wound. The surgeon just said thats how I heal? Is there anyway to improve the hole, or is it simply too messed up?
Hello, Im 10 months post op from an alarplasty and a modified lip lift that made incisions higher up, but the scarring has been horrendous and quite distressing to me. Ive used silicone gel, light scar massaging, several steroid injections, and two IPL sessions. But it still looks so bad. What should I do because I really need help.
I have a scar in the centre of my forehead. It is now two years old but Im concerned about how its healed. Its not a thin line like Id have hoped but a bit wider. Is this likely to be less noticeable with time? Its also quite white. Is there anything I can do to help? Thanks
