Combining surgeries - is it better to have rhinoplasty separate from facelift, neck lift, lateral brow lift and blepharoplasty?

I am looking for thoughtson having multiple surgeries done at once. Would it be better to better to have two seprate surgeries, one for rhinoplasty and one for facelift,necklift,lateral brow lift and blephorplasty? Or is it safe to have them all done at once?

Combining multiple procedures — like rhinoplasty with facelift, neck lift, brow lift, and blepharoplasty — is something some patients do, but whether it’s safe and appropriate depends on your overall health, the complexity and duration of the surgeries, and how well you tolerate anesthesia.

These surgeries are technically safe to do together, but the biggest thing is that your surgeon is able to do that much surgery efficiently to give you a great result while not keeping you under anesthesia for too long (which is the main safety concern here).  Personally, I would perform this combination of cases if each part was a straightforward case, but if any one part was more complicated (for example, if the rhinoplasty was a challenging revision rhinoplasty) I would stage them into multiple cases.

If the patient is healthy, a rhinoplasty can certainly be combined with facelift, eyelid, and brow surgery, and it's something we do regularly. You wouldn't want your anesthesia time to be any longer than 6 hours or so you would want to confirm that. Usually the cost is a bit less expensive and you have only one recovery period when you combine surgeries. But if you want to separate, that's ok too.

That all depends of your medical condition, skill of the surgeon and surgery center rules in your state. In state of Florida, where I practice, outpatient surgery center surgery should not be scheduled longer than 6 hours. Benefit is a single recovery time and discomfort. Hope this helps.
