Thank you for your picture. Undoubtedly a sliding genioplasty would be a very powerful procedure for you. I would recommend having several in person consultations prior to proceeding with any type of surgical correction.Best wishes!ESJ,#TruthAndTransformation.
You are a candidate for a genioplasty. Your chin is short and quite recessed. By moving your chin forward and down, it would bring some balance to your profile while elongating your jawline. This would create more contour and add definition to your face. Our office provides in-person and virtual consultations if you would like to discuss options further!
In the photo, you have a very recessed chin. The treatment options include a sliding genioplasty or a silicone chin implant. When there is a significant amount of forward projection required as in your case, I recommend a sliding genioplasty over a chin implant. The sliding genioplasty allows for up to 9-10 mm of projection. Both procedures are performed in our office with intravenous sedation anesthesia and take about an hour. There is no change in your bite so we allow a diet as tolerated from day 1.
It is very difficult to give you right answer without in person evaluation. It appears that both sliding genioplasty and chin implant augmentation would produce significant improvement. Hope this helps.
A genioplasty is performed by an oral surgeon under general anesthesia in a hospital setting with an overnight stay, and is more invasive. It is usually performed when the teeth are significantly out of alignment. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment your chin forward which can be done under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure

Jaw contouring to be more v-shaped, less v-shaped, more tapered, smoother, etc can be done. We adjust the bone through the inside of your mouth. It takes about an hour though there is swelling for several weeks. Watch our videos to learn more.
Based on your photo, it looks like you would be better served with a rhinoplasty and a little bit of filler in your chin. Altering the nasal proportions can impact the overall facial balance and perception. Best of luck !
