Is the morph achievable through rhinoplasty and genioplasty? (Photos)

As you have shown with your computer imaging, both rhinoplasty and mental plasty may be considered for improving upon somebody’s facial profile appearance, by adding balance. We advocate, shin implant surgery over genioplasty surgery, since it is more predictable, easily reversible, and has much less inconvenience and downtime. Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of your nose is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the bridge and the tip)! You would have an amazing (and natural-looking) result!

I see you're also interested in augmenting your chin. The best way to properly address this is with a chin implant to improve the overall harmony of your facial features, especially from your side profile. It's actually pretty common to need both procedures instead of just the rhinoplasty! I could even perform both procedures at the same time.

Rhinoplasty truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. Thank you for your question.I find morphing very helpful to explain to my patients the potential changes that can be achieved but do also emphasise that it is not an exact identical outcome that may arise. With that in mind, the adjusted picture that you present does seem to be a reasonable goal that can be aimed for both with the rhinoplasty and chin aspects but as per one of the other surgeon's comments, the change in the chin is perhaps a little too over-projected.

Based on your images, I think you have a reasonable expectation that should be accomplished with a well performed procedure. The nasal tip needs better projection, and a chin implant can nicely compliment the result. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

From the photos you’ve provided you can absolutely have the chin and nose that you have been playing with in your own images. I might suggest a slightly less pronounced chin as this seems to overtake your lower face a bit. It could be disgusting during a consultation, using morphine. Most importantly, the morphing of the images should be completely transparent, and your surgeon should simply convey you that these are morph images.

What you show should be quite achievable with rhinoplasty and chin implant. You'd be able to get the augmentation along the jaw and the nose shape you show.

I highly recommend that my patients focus much more on real longterm before and after photographs rather than 3D imaging.   I encounter so many patients in my practice who see me for revision rhinoplasty who previously had surgery elsewhere who feel like they were mislead into surgery by surgeons who relied heavily on 3D imaging without adequate real before and after pictures to back it up. Photoshop is easy but real surgery is very different.

I always recommend that you carefully evaluate your surgeon’s online before and after gallery on their website for both quality and quantity of results. Make sure that there are hundreds of real before and after pictures which demonstrate long-term follow up results. If your surgeon is posting mostly on table results without real long-term follow up results, that is usually a major red flag. If a surgeon is posting mostly just splint removal day videos without longterm follow-up pictures, or all patient selfie’s without real longterm in-office formal pictures that can also be a red flag. Long-term results are much more meaningful than on table results or 1 week post-op results. Selfie’s can also be fun to look at, but these can often have a filter and do not represent true longterm results because of this and are not as valuable as real longterm in-office before and after photographs on your surgeon’s website.

With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

rhinoplasty and chin augmentation are very commonly performed together, as they can have a powerful effect on a person's profile view. This is a reasonable goal for this surgery. In male patients, with thicker skin, the definition that is attainable in the tip can be limited however the tip position, rotation and dorsal hump reduction are very common requests in patients seeking rhinoplasty. Additionally, a silicone chin implant could be used to delivery the results desired for the chin. Price will vary significantly by surgeon and geographic location.
