Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you very much for this question. You can consider a small particle dermal filler like Belotero or Restylane Silk. Other fillers with larger particles may cause too much lumpiness. For best results, you should also consider skin resurfacing of the upper lips with microneedling, chemical peels, and lasers.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Vertical lip lines can best be treated with a combination of treatments including Fillers, Microbotox, Lasers, Microneedling, Chemical Peels, etc. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers and/or Botox. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a full and symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. Vertical lines can be treated in several ways. If the lines are present at rest they can carefully be injected with a dermal filler such as Restylane or Juvederm and typically these fillers last between 6-12 months. If the lines are present with movement than Botox may be an option. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Smoker's lines or postal code lines or vertical lines that extend vertically away from the lips are much more common in women, in smokers, and with age. If the wrinkles only bother you with movement, then Botox can be a good option. If the lines are present at rest (without movement), then a carefully injected filler such as Juvederm ultra, Juvederm Volbella, Restylane fines lines, or Teosyal Redensity-II are all nice options to improve the area typically for 6-12 months. Most importantly, get your injection from a highly trained and experienced physician injector such as a dermatologist to ensure you get the best results with the least pain/bruising and lowest possible risk of side effects.
You would be an excellent candidate for fillers to your upper lip especially the white portion of the lip where the vertical lines are most noticeable. I would recommend seeing someone very experienced and that someone has recommended to you. I like to use Restylane Lyft in this area but Restylane Refyne is also a very good option.
From your photo and desires, I believe you would be a very good candidate for injectable fillers. Both Volbella and/ro Juvederm Ultra XC would be good choices and results are immediate with no down time. An upper lip chemical peel could also be considered, but this treatment would require some recovery time (1-2 weeks). Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience, and preferably, one who performs their own injections. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
Thank you for your question. This is very difficult to predict as some patients develop collagen in the area with Restylane and others may not. However Restylane typically lasts 1 year in areas without movement. I recommend periodically following up with your injector to determine if touch ups...
Thank you for your question. There could be many reasons for your swelling. However, you are correct that your menses can be related to the increased swelling. I recommend having a follow up with your injector to address your concerns. Best of Luck!
Thank you for the question. Yes, sometimes this can happen. Some patients tend to metabolize hyaluronic acid very quickly. Perhaps switching to a longer lasting filler, such as Juvederm might give you a longer result. I recommend addressing your concerns with your injector. Best of Luck!
