What is the subcision with Restylane lyft longevity?

So I have had two subcisions with restylane lyft for acne scars on my cheeks. 3 months after my last treatment the improvement is excellent, almost too good to be true. My question is the longevity of the results. Should my improvement be more or less similar after the filler wears off, or will my scars return to their previous condition?

In  my opinion, this would be difficult to predict. Some develop collagen and elastic fibers in the pocket created by subcision with Restylane implanted. In others, the Restylane can slowly degrade without forming any new tissue. In areas without movement, Restylane can last two years. In my experience, most people get some long lasting Improvement but not as completely filled as it was initially.Acne scar nj.com

Acne requires lifelong care. I’m glad your getting a good result, but be sure to follow up with your doctor periodically. The filler can last up to 1 year, but your result may be better than that based on your description. Good luck. Dr. Aldo

Thank you for your question. This is very difficult to predict as some patients develop collagen in the area with Restylane and others may not. However Restylane typically lasts 1 year in areas without movement. I recommend periodically following up with your injector to determine if touch ups are needed. Best of Luck!
