Tightness in lips and bottom gum and teeth pain that follows through to the chin

Pain can be variable, but your description doesn't sound typical. I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Having some tightness and discomfort is common after injection into the lips. However, if you having more pain than usual this may indicate something more severe. Some tightness and discomfort is normal after lip injection but you have more pain than usual and this may indicate a nerve was iaccidentally hit which is not a big problem As long as yhou do not jhave any discoloration and severe pain in the area it is probably ok but it would be a good idea to return to your doctor for evaluation

Pain can mean many different things.  I urge you to contact your injector and be evaluated in person...

Dear chloe221:It sounds likely you have some pressure, rritation or injury to a nerve, perhaps the marginal mandibular nerve. Did you have a nerve block before the injections, or were other areas below the lower lip injected? Please return to your injector for evaluation and possible hyaluronidase. All the best,   Dr. Clark
