I received a septorhinoplasty through insurance to improve my breathing two weeks ago. Although we did not discuss this enormous change to my nose prior to surgery, the Dr. pulled in my columella to create tension to straighten the tip of my nose. First, it is SO tight it actually hurts me when I move my face, and second is I feel I look absolutely hideous. Will my tip and columella descend over time and will I look like me again? Will it loosen up over time? If not is this reversible?

A full set of facial photographs which include the face and the nose are required look at the proportions of the nose in relation to the face. Thick skin in the tip of the nose will prevent refinement in that area, so it's important to have realistic expectations. The Dorsal...
Hi and thank you for your question. The splints should NOT be removed at home, that is unsafe and unwise. I suggest you contact your surgeon in Colombia and arrange for a skype or video appointment, if needed.

Hello. Great question. Based on your description, it appears as if you are referring to a suture. However, with out any pictures or a personal examination, it is difficult to properly asses your concerns. I will suggest reaching out to your surgeon via email or phone and send him or her images.
