I have two different surgeons I am torn between to replace my current 16-year-old Allergan Style 45 HP 700cc silicone implants. They are too big for my frame, and I am downsizing because one of them is protruding across the middle section/border. Both surgeons pretty much want to use the same technique using Strattice to repair the borders as well as support the new implants. I am downsizing to 585 CC Mentor BOOST silicone implants. My dilemma is: One surgeon swears by the use of drains when using Strattice to remove any possibility of fluid buildup as a result of using the Strattice. He said he's used Strattice enough to know better than to NOT use drains. He also uses some type of clear tape/plastic all over instead of a surgical bra post surgery. I thought this was odd. The other doctor says drains are probably not going to be needed for my surgery with the Strattice. I'm not sure if one Dr. is just more skilled at using Strattice than the other and knows what he's doing by using the drains. He said he's used Strattice enough to know that you never want fluid buildup when using it. I really like both surgeons, and I'm torn because they have differing opinions on using this material for my repair.

You did not post photos, so I don't know what kind of lift you will have. However, in my hands, most exchanges with lifts take 2-2.5 hours. Seven hours is a slow surgeon.

You only posted one photo. You surgeon can remove some excess skin in the office and it may help. If this reoccurs, you will need your inferior pockets tightened.
