How long does a breast implant exchange and lift surgery take?

Question

I have consulted with several doctors about doing an implant exchange (to a smaller implant) and lift. Some doctors have said it will take 7 hours, others have said 2.5 hours, others 4 hours. Does 2.5 hours raise a red flag?

Dear Elle2127,

the length of the procedure will depend on the type of surgery and what needs to be done. Finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.).
You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.

You did not post photos, so I don't know what kind of lift you will have. However, in my hands, most exchanges with lifts take 2-2.5 hours. Seven hours is a slow surgeon.

So it can vary from 2 to  4 hours
