The implants caused me hard psychological discomfort, and I just want to remove them ASAP in order to preserve at least the skin tone, but my surgeon told me that it’s not possible to do that during the first year post op because it may cause tissue inflammation, and that the mammary gland has not resumed its normal cycle of operation yet, and that if it was interrupted again this could cause other complications. This news has made me even more upset. What’s your opinion about that? Thank you..
Answer: Breast implant removal I'm sorry you are so unhappy with your augmentation. You can elect to have your implants removed at any time. The capsule can be left behind if you choose. I'm not sure where your surgeon got the information that was relayed to you. You will have typical swelling after implant removal but it should resolve as the tissues heal. The sooner you remove your implants the higher the likelihood of your skin's ability to retract.

Answer: Explant and The Bellesoma Lift Removal is not adequate, you will need a simultaneous lift. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Wanting breast implant removal 4 months post augmentation, potential complications? I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast augmentation surgery. There is no reason for waiting to have the breast implants removed, assuming you are convinced that this is the right decision for you.My best advice: select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Then, communicate your goals carefully, as well. Working together you will come up with a good plan to achieve your goals. Best wishes.

Answer: Removal I think it is ok to remove them after 4 months. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Breast implant removal? Hello and thanks for your questions. I'm very sorry to hear that you are going through this! I'm not certain where your surgeon is getting his information from, but it is absolutely possible to remove your implants immediately and you will not suffer any negative consequences for doing so. In fact, if it is causing you severe stress, the more quickly you get them removed the better. Polyurethane coated implants have caused multiple issues for other patients as well and should definitely be removed. Your mammary gland and all other tissues should not suffer any further negative consequences from having the implants removed. You may even be a good candidate for a natural fat transfer procedure in order to maintain your breast volume and shape after your implants have been removed. Our office has helped many patients in this situation. You've provided great information - the only thing that would be more helpful in order to give you the best advice about your options would be an in-person exam. I hope that this information helps.
