I have McGahn 68 saline implants under the muscle. My incision was under the breast. I had my proceedure done 2004 after breastfeeding 3 children. I recently had another child since getting my implants. I noticed the other day my right implant had ruptured and completely deflated. I had 550 cc in the right and 570cc in the left. The right side is causing pain down my arm, up my neck and jaw, and the breast is sensitive as well. I recently been diagnosed with hashimotos and fibromyalgia.

Answer: Implant removal Your case is unique. You should be able to remove your implant at this time, but if you are having pain an examination is needed to help determine the cause. It may be that your capsules need to be removed as well. I recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation to determine if you should proceed with surgery at this time.

Answer: Implant removal Dear Autumn N,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination but generally speaking, implant removal under local anesthesia might be an option. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
