Can I sleep on my back after a BBL if I sleep with a cutout for my butt to go in?

I have the booty pillow and some other fancy pillows with cut outs and was wondering if I could sleep on my back if my butt went in the hole and I wasn’t applying pressure by laying directly on it? Post BBL day 7

Thank you for your question. When it comes to sleeping after BBL I do not recommend special pillows. The best thing to do is sleep on your stomach. It's important  to maintain a strategic distance from specifically sitting on your butt for no less than two weeks after surgery to guarantee the best result. The more you can abstain from sitting, the better your definitive outcome.You ought to likewise wear your garment for  a month. Limit your movement for  a month too. and utilize special  pillow  to sit on.

Dear rosavsc,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. I have no experience with the booty pillow but if your not applying direct pressure to the area (which is the whole point in not lying on your back) then that may be okay to try. I would definitely ask your surgeon first.

Please follow up with your surgeon.It's important to avoid directly sitting on your butt for at least two weeks after surgery to ensure the best outcome. The longer you can avoid sitting, the better your ultimate outcome.You should also wear your garments for about four weeks. Minimize your activity (exercise) for about four weeks also. Most patients will take off about 1 or 2 weeks from work and will use special pillows to sit on when returning to work.

I am not a fan of any specialized pillow; remember that the fat cells cannot migrate or move with pressure; you are only going to squeeze the swelling out. However, you should try to shift your body weight from side to side every hour especially when you are numb; once numbness is gone, your body will do this automatically. The most important consideration for BBL results is having VASER liposuction performed to maximize your contouring and BBL results.
