I have the booty pillow and some other fancy pillows with cut outs and was wondering if I could sleep on my back if my butt went in the hole and I wasn’t applying pressure by laying directly on it? Post BBL day 7

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear rosavsc,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. I have no experience with the booty pillow but if your not applying direct pressure to the area (which is the whole point in not lying on your back) then that may be okay to try. I would definitely ask your surgeon first.

Please follow up with your surgeon.It's important to avoid directly sitting on your butt for at least two weeks after surgery to ensure the best outcome. The longer you can avoid sitting, the better your ultimate outcome.You should also wear your garments for about four weeks. Minimize your activity (exercise) for about four weeks also. Most patients will take off about 1 or 2 weeks from work and will use special pillows to sit on when returning to work.
