I am 5’4 and have always been slim (I weigh about 100ibs +/- a few ibs) would I be able to receive a BBL? The places that carry fat on my body are pretty much just any arms a little and my lower back. Would I need to put weight on to have a BBL? Or should I not even get one because I don’t have enough fat to be deposited that will actually make a difference?

Answer: What is considered “too skinny” for a BBL? Thank you for your question. There is not really an ideal body size ratio for the BBL. Candidates for a Brazilian butt lift in Colombia include patients of all ages and sizes. However, you may not be a good candidate if you’re very slim with little fat to spare. It's best to get a consultation with a board cetified plastic surgeon. When planning a Brazilian butt lift, patients can look forward to a double benefit: reducing areas of unwanted fat while gaining a perkier, rounded posterior. Each procedure must be planned according to the individual needs of patients, harvesting fat from target areas of the torso, thighs or knees and transferring it to create smooth, attractive contours optimized for each person. The amount of fat transferred depends on the quantity available and the extent of buttock augmentation each patient desires. Sufficient body fat for a buttock augmentation is very patient-specific, depending on an individual’s body shape and proportions as well as their expectations. Buttock augmentation with fat grafting is one of our most popular procedures in Colombia, and from experience we can tell you that some patients do very well with 300 cc of fat per side while others can need 800 cc or more. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: What is considered “too skinny” for a BBL? Hello,Thank you for your question. Being 5'4 and 100lbs give or take is underweight for your height if you use a BMI calculator. The result of a BBL is somewhat limited by the amount of donor fat available, making it difficult for someone with a very low body fat percentage to drastically increase the size of their buttocks. These cases are commonly referred to as “skinny Brazilians” due to the low BMI of the patient. That being said, it is almost always possible to create a beautiful result regardless of the patient’s BMI.I would suggest a personal consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
