A small percent of patients receive headaches following the treatment on the first day. It may last for a few hours to a few days. This is very rare and should be very temporary.
Headaches after treatment with a neuromodulator such as Botox or Dysport typically last a few hours to a few days. You may treat your headache with a pain reliever like Tylenol or Advil; take the medication as directed for relief until it resolves. The result of the neuromodulator itself may take up to 2 weeks for full effect.
