Botox resistant? vs. Dysport: Brows feel heavy, but no other results yet.

The amount of units used depends on how strong and how much muscle action is present. A good rule of thumb when deciding on Botox vs. Dysport is with Dysport the units should double, but the price per unit should be much less. If I use 30 units of Botox, I would use 60 units of Dysport in the same area. I would also look to see how strong the muscle groups are. Most of the time Dysport is cheaper, has a faster onset and lasts a month longer. Find a provider you trust. Hope this helps. JB

It's difficult to say specifically what is going on without knowing more information. Some people do react differently to the various neuromodulators and many will prefer one over another. Three days from injection is too soon to judge the last treatment. A full 14 days is recommended to see final results.

There are many reasons why the effect of Dysport may not seem to last long. This could be either to less than an optimal number of units, improper injections, or if fewer units were injected than what was actually purchased. Immediate side effects may include lightly swollen pinkish bumps and irritation at the injection side that subside after a couple of hours.
