How long after My Zenatane course would I have to wait to have bellafill injections done for my acne scars ? Can I have bellafill done while on Zenatane. Ty so much for your time

Thank you for your question.  Typically, I wait one year after the completion of Isotretinoin (Accutane, Zenatane, Absorica, Sotret, Amnesteem, Claravis) treatment to perform any cosmetic procedures including Bellafill.  It is best to discuss your treatment with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon.

Zenatane or Accutane is basically a tretenoin or Vitamin A
drug that interferes with wound healing and can cause increased scarring.  Bellafill is a filler that relies on your
body’s ability to produce scar.  As a
result, the two do not mix.  Some
physicians say that you should wait 3 months after stopping your Accutane
before getting something like Bellafill, some say 6 months and others say a
year.  To be safe, you should wait one
year.  You could try on of the shorter
term fillers, like Juvederm or Restylane, and when they wear off you can go to
a permanent solution as long as you are a year out from taking the Zenatane.
