About a year and a half ago, I had bellafill injected into my nasolabial folds bc the Dr suggested I needed it. Ive had filler there before so I was open to it. Immediately after injection my face was contorted and swollen. My upper lip was pushed down and became incredibly swollen. The Dr said it was on purpose. He said he needed to really traumatize the area for the filler to work. I should add I wasnt made aware of the permanence of the product (my fault for not researching and asking questions), but he changed products right before injection. He was going to use a HA filler but then decided bellafill was a better option. I assumed they were similar. I asked to have to it reversed immediately but he said give it time bc it was going to look so good and he was happy bc it flattened my upper lip and he didnt like that it had flipped up before the injection. it took 3 weeks for the swelling to go down. It made my entire face swell and I needed a course of steroids. the issue was that while a little swelling went down, the lump from the filler never did and it grew. i now have a 3-4 inch lump under my skin just under the nasolabial fold on the left side of my face. Ive been to 3 other drs. All said it was the filler and we tried steroids injections. 1000s later and the filller lump is still there. The Dr who injected said it cant be bellafill but also has no other answer for what it is. All other drs said It is clearly the product but likely needs surgery to be removed.
I used to have very petite cheeks. I have deep rolling acne scars on my cheeks so Ive had lasers and facials to correct that and then decided to do bellafill. She filled very close to the skin. Although she is very thorough I think she overfilled. I have migration potentially under my eyes? And definitely droopiness. I hate it. It makes me feel fake.
Hi there, I had rhinoplasty 20 years ago and believe I have a silicone implant. I'm interested in using Bellafill to raise the tip of my nose to make it look more pointed and slightly smaller, but I don't want to undergo surgery or revision rhinoplasty. Additionally, one of my nostrils is asymmetricalcan Bellafill help correct that as well?
I've heard mixed information regarding Bellafill filler. Some sources state that the results are permanent and last indefinitely but then others state that the results only last 5 years. Which is it? Those sources that state the later, they claim that although the results only last 5 years the PMMA particles are permanent. So if the results wear off and you get repeat Bellafill injections, will the PMMA particles keep building up on top of each other and eventually create too much volume?
I have an aesthetician with whom I have worked for about seven years. Early on I had great results with her. After about five years, I went back in for bellafill (second time, other than little touch ups). When I left I was very swollen, which concerned me, but I thought it would subside. It did, but two years later I have too much filler -- pillow face-ish. I asked her what could be done and she said she could laser and remold it. Is this even possible?
Female, 37, 140 lbs, I have had lines under my eyes for years. I wonder if it was from getting Bellafill near my eyes? It seems to really show when I smile and when my toxins are strong and working great. Can you help me figure out what it is so I can get rid of it :)
been receiving bellafill injections in my cheeks, laugh lines, & temples. I was receiving bellafill from my surgeon when it was called artefill but since change of name to bellafill they say it is the same thing but do not state permanent claims in the brochures? I have been receiving injections for 3 years now. Are the pmma spheres going to fade or? permanent? Why say 5 years? I get so many different feedbacks and some say permanent others do not. Results below are after bellafill
I had Bellafill 1/2 syringe per side to tear troughs . Hard lumps formed iat inner canthus of both eyes. Biopsy showed fat necrosis and no foreign material. Ive since had voluma 3 years ago and radiesse over 4 years ago to cheeks for volume. I have pouches on top of cheekbones that wont go away and never change with salt intake etc. FHow do I treat the problem when I dont know what product is causing the issue. Bellafill was 6 years ago
