I’ve been considering getting a BBL for a year now. My butt caves in on the sides, should enough fat stick to fill in the area? Or will my hip dips affect the results? I don’t want a huge butt however, I want the sides filled in. My concern is that I will look the same after recovering from the procedure.

Answer: BBL Candidate Thanks for your question. From you pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for the BBL. A BBL requires 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. In addition, if you do not have enough fat in these areas, liposuction can be performed in many other areas of the body for fat transfer to the buttocks, such as the upper arms and chin. The liposuction helps to create an hourglass figure around the waistline and the fat transfer helps give you more projection and curves in the buttocks area. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with BBLs and clean credentials. The hip dips look deeper because the part above the hip dip is too full. We call these shoulders and it gives the buttock the appearance of being to square and too tall. Bringing in the upper part of the buttock will define a better waist and a better proportion. The fat removed from the waist and maybe from the abdominal wall can be placed in the hip dip area to provide a more pleasing curve. Best of luck.
