it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

If you were my patient I would require full written pulmonary clearances. Otherwise the risks for severe pulmonary complications can occur. Are you using a private practice boarded PS or a clinic based unknown surgeon/s? Best to virtual consult with....

Having it atelectasis is usually a temporary condition that is resolved by taking deep breath‘s. It is a condition where the alveoli in the lung are collapsed or partially collapsed with some fluid. It often happens after surgery from patients failing to take deep breath‘s. having this as a baseline may put you at slightly higher risk for developing pneumonia after major surgery especially ones that make it difficult to take a deep breath like a full tummy tuck. most likely it’s just an incidental thing that will not have much impact it. It would be a good idea to review this with your surgeon.
