You do have relatively wide set breasts, which is not an uncommon feature. You are correct, exercise won't change this and even surgery has limits to the improvement you should expect. Your best option is an in-person consultation with your plastic surgeon to review your options. Some of the options that might be discussed are:A circumareolar (donut) mastopexy could be done to reposition your nipple/areola slightly more to the middle. You could also consider placing breast implants, particularly above the muscle, which would allow your breast mound to be more centered. This would best be done in combination with the donut mastopexy. Otherwise you would risk the nipple areola complex seemingly being positioned more lateral (out turned). I hope this gets you started on a path to a possible solution/improvement!
I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Hello @Caring490111 thank you for your question. From the pictures I can see that your breast is wide set and with a breast augmentation you can achieve the results you want. The look and feel of the breast after the surgery depend on different factors, one of the more important is where the prosthesis is going to be located, if is going to be in front of the muscle, behind the muscle, behind the muscle fascia. Also, you need to ask the specialist where is the scar going to be? What type of prosthesis will You have? If the prostheses are certified? That is to say, if there is a national or worldwide entity that has certainty about the aging process of the prostheses? And have an open line of communication with your specialist. After surgery take all doctor recommendations to have great healing, because that part of the surgery relays on the patient. Best wishes!!!
Normally, distance between nipple and midline (middle of your chest bone) is somewhere between 10.5 to 12 cm; in your case it appears to be larger? You can leave this as it is or areolas may be moved towards midline for 1 cm or so. This will result in scar around areola which may turn to be wider than you like. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.
Dear Caring490111,many women seek improved cleavage. Narrowing the cleavage plane can be done very carefully by a skilled surgeon. Moving the implants too far medially can result in synmastia or unaboob which is very difficult to correct. That being said, the right amount of pocket dissection and implant selection can create excellent cleavage. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
An examination in person would be required to properly evaluate you and make specific recommendations. That said, from your photos your breasts are “normal” yet there is indeed a wide distance between them that can be aesthetically altered by placing properly selected implants to enhance your cleavage. Your nipple/areolae are set toward the outer aspect of your breasts (again, a variant of “normal”) and if you are willing to accept a bit more fullness to your breasts on the outside (toward your arm) it can be made to appear that your nipple/areolae are more centered. Please consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon whose aesthetics seem to align with your own and he or she can advise you on all of your options. Best of luck to you.
Good morning,No exercise won't help- you can have a submuscular augmentation with saline or silicone gel implants, depending on your preference, which will decrease the gap, and a donut mastopexy to move your nipples to a more even, more centered position!
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Unfortunately there is no way to narrow or re-set the breasts into a more centered position on your chest. Although an implant may make them appear closer together the nipple position will remain out to the side.
"Hate" is a very strong word. There is a large variation among women in the width between their two breasts, and you are still considered normal. Implants can help minimize the distance between the two breasts.
I understand why you don’t like the appearance of your breasts. However, I don’t think they are too wide set. It is mostly the nipple position that is causing this appearance. You also have a mild tubular breast deformity that is causing some of the appearance that you don’t like. Fortunately this can be corrected! I recommend smallish implants with repositioning of the nipples more to the center.
I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being examined and measured, and trying on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Then, you can see what you actually like on your body.
No, you will still need a lift. However, you could just have implants placed behind the breast for bigger and still sagging breasts, then choose to do a lift after you have had all the children you want. I would suggest doing the augmentation and lift for a much better look. Some breasts change...
I honestly would suggest waiting until after you had children unless thus is something that bothers you right now. If you are interested in getting the procedure now I would recommend getting a breast augmentation with a lift!
