Can chin vaser lipo cause risk of thermal damage to surrounding tissue, lymph nodes and glands?

Thank you for your question. VASER lipo does not cause damage to surrounding lymph nodes, glands or DNA damage. It can cause a temporary nerve palsy of the branch of the mandibular nerve. I use the VASER lipo technique for many years and with no long term negative effects. For the neck, I recommend using 20% in pulse mode with a 2.9mm 3 grooved probe. This avoids the temporary nerve palsy. Good luck with your treatment, your surgeon is correct.

Using ultrasound can cause damage to surrounding structures.
This is not going to cause DNA damage, but can potentially cause nerve injuries, depending on the extent of the procedure.
Chin/neck liposuction is a delicate procedure. It does not need aggressive equipment like VASER.
Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize.
If done poorly people can be left with irreparable problems.
Make sure your surgeon has enough experience to get consistent quality outcomes.
During in person consultations ask providers to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients with similar facial characteristics.
Seeing a handful of results may be insufficient.
